At this Total Solar Eclipse, the Moon and Sun are also conjunct with Chiron, all at exactly 19° 24’ Aries. So, the Moon will be in front of the Sun, and the Moon and Sun exactly in front of, so also eclipsing, Chiron, orbiting far out in the solar system, between Saturn and Uranus.

The Eclipse path of totality will begin in mid-south Pacific, then make landfall about 30 miles south of Mazatlan in Sinaloa, Mexico; it reaches maximum Eclipse in northern Mexico, about 100 miles north of Durango, then cuts across Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, the north of New York state, then into Vermont and Maine before passing through New Brunswick and Newfoundland in eastern Canada. The path of totality will end in mid-Atlantic about 700 miles north of the Azores, which will experience a 75% eclipse.

During the Total Eclipse of 1999, renowned dowser Hamish Miller verified that, as the eclipse shadow arrived, the Earth energy lines powered right down (apart from the north-south grid lines); this allows for the release of old, negative or damaging imprints in the land, its energy lines and sacred sites; then after the shadow passed, the earth energies “rebooted”, enabling the imprinting of new patterns, archetypes and potentials into the grids. These new potentials and archetypes are defined by the astrological patterns formed by the planets overhead.

This April’s eclipse will pass over North America – covering Mexico, USA and Canada, so it will be releasing negative energetic imprints, patterns, archetypes and collective memories, associated with the indigenous and modern cultures, power structures and influences that these countries have had both internally and at a global level.

In northern Mexico, the Eclipse shadow will cross over the Great Male Plumed Serpent earth energy line that encircles the globe, around the Cuatro Cienegas (Four Marshes) basin, an area of unique biological richness and diversity and the site of possibly the oldest fossilized human footprints (c. 10,500 years old) in the Americas.

In the USA, the Eclipse will cross over one of the main east-west energy lines at Sugarloaf Mounds in Indiana; this energy line, aligned with the equinox sunrises and sunsets, was identified by dowser and researcher David Cowan, running from the Azores in mid-Atlantic, through Washington DC, then on west through Louisville KY, St. Louis MO, Jefferson MO and Sacramento CA. The Great Female Rainbow Serpent line on San Miguel in the Azores feeds into this east-west line, which acts as a linking meridian between the Rainbow Serpent and the Plumed Serpent. The fact that this and other major energy lines pass through Washington DC, acting as a direct link between the Plumed and Rainbow Serpents, explains why the USA has managed to maintain such sway over global events, since the founding of Washington DC.

The conjunction of Moon, Sun and Chiron is part of a double red and green “Sensitivity” figure. From Moon – Sun – Chiron there are small green (30°) semi-sextiles to the approaching conjunction of Mars and Saturn in Pisces (which becomes exact on April 10 th ), and to the approaching conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus (which becomes exact on April 21 st ).

Chiron represents our primal, or core wounding that arises from a perceived separation from Spirit, in this world of apparent duality. Chiron’s position in the solar system, orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, connects us with the shamanic awareness that bridges and heals the apparent disparity between our physical self in the material universe (Saturn) and our spiritual self in the spiritual universe (Uranus).

Total Eclipses in general are concerned with healing at the planetary level; with this eclipse in Aries also involving Chiron, it is about understanding how personal and collective healing are intricately intertwined. This Eclipse brings the opportunity to heal the wounds that have arisen from our perceptions about the relationship between matter and spirit, body and soul. At a core level, this is about healing rifts, separations and conflicts that have arisen as the result of differing spiritual beliefs, conventions and dogmas that have been turned into religions by human interpretations of the teachings of various enlightened, self-realised beings and prophets.

The eclipse brings the opportunity to collectively let go of old, divisive, outdated, material-based, or fear-based interpretations of spiritual teachings, currently being brought into sharp focus by the conjunction of Mars and Saturn in Pisces. Mars represents the will, which can be decisive, combative, and often divisive; Saturn brings to the surface the fears of our unresolved shadow-self.

Mars conjunct Saturn can result in the wilful imposition of our fears onto others, or it can enable us to apply our will and determination to root out those fears, and choose to embody the liberating, awakening, truth-seeking, expansive, all-inclusive energies, represented by the Jupiter – Uranus conjunction in Taurus. The combination of these two planets opens our capacity to imagine unlimited possibilities, to break free of all fear-based limitations, and to trust in the beneficence of Great Spirit.

Both these conjunctions, Mars – Saturn and Jupiter – Uranus, have green (150°) quincunx aspects focussed towards the Moon’s South Node in Libra. If we choose to focus on the Mars – Saturn option, then we will remain stuck in the past and perpetuate the problems of the past; if we choose to focus on the Jupiter – Uranus option, then we must be prepared to let go and move beyond our attachments to past ideas and maybe past relationships, so that the new way can reveal itself. But, until we have let go, the new way cannot reveal itself to us and even if it did, we would not have the clarity to understand what it means and what is required of us.

This Jupiter – Uranus conjunction is a one-off (Jupiter does not go retrograde and repeat the conjunction), so the change of direction can happen literally in the “twinkling of an eye”, as Jupiter passes in front of Uranus on 21 st April. The key is to let go of personal expectations, ideas, agendas, beliefs and to allow Spirit, acting through our intuition, to show us the way forward.

Holding together this pattern and the choices it entails is Ceres, representing Mother Earth, positioned in Capricorn at the apex of a red T-square.

Ceres makes a (90°) square to the Moon’s North Node – Moon – Sun - Chiron, and another square to the Moon’s South Node, which is in opposition to Moon’s North Node – Moon – Sun – Chiron.

The future well-being of the Earth, or rather our future well-being on the Earth is hanging in the balance, based on the wisdom of decisions that we now make, individually and collectively. Those decisions will depend upon us healing the wounds of the past.

Ceres is also at the pivotal point of 4 Learning triangles. The large Learning triangle, with Ceres (90°) square South Node, (150°) quincunx to Jupiter – Uranus and (120°) trine back to Ceres is the dominant pattern:

This indicates that letting go of the past and embracing the unknown and unfamiliar is the best decision, but it’s also the biggest, hardest, and most far-reaching. The key part is the letting go, which may mean upsetting our perceptions that there is equilibrium or balance (South Node in Libra) that still exists in the world.

This is linked by the blue (120°) trine aspect to a small Learning triangle from Ceres (90°) square North Node, Moon, Sun, Chiron, (30°) semi-sextile to Jupiter – Uranus and trine back to Ceres: These two patterns together suggest that once we have mastered the letting go, then the best long- term rewards and outcomes become possible, personally, collectively and for the well-being of Mother Earth.

There is also a medium Learning Triangle from Ceres (90°) square South Node, (150°) quincunx Mars– Saturn and (60°) sextile back to Ceres, which is joined to another with Ceres square North Node, Moon, Sun, Chiron, (30°) semi-sextile to Mars – Saturn and sextile back to Ceres:

These two patterns hinge on the blue (60°) sextile, which indicates that smaller, short-term rewards may be possible, but should not be sought at the expense of the bigger picture.

There is a real balancing act to be achieved here, as neither one nor other of these two options alone (Mars – Saturn, nor Jupiter – Uranus), will provide complete answers to what is needed. We need to take into consideration whatever expedient, practical steps are necessary to ensure the short-term benefits (Mars – Saturn), but whilst giving greater weight to the larger long-term picture (Jupiter – Uranus). The key is not to get caught in the fear of making radical changes, so that we become paralysed and unable to see the much bigger, and liberating picture that is emerging.

Mars – Saturn is in (180°) opposition to retrograde Juno in Virgo, which is part of another large Learning triangle, with retrograde Pallas Athene in Sagittarius (90°) square retrograde Juno, (150°) quincunx Venus in Aries, with a (120°) trine back to Pallas: The Mars – Saturn opposition to Juno indicates that, if we go with the fear-based, short–term approach, then we will not be acting in right relationship (Juno) and for the good of the whole.

Retrograde Pallas and retrograde Juno indicate that we need to work to undo the mistakes of the past, which have caused us to be out of right relationship with ourselves and others. With Juno in Virgo, we need to be aware of the fine details, those subtle places where we can get caught, where we maybe think or believe that we are acting in the best interests of all, but where there may be an underlying pattern either of self-interest, or of people-pleasing to our own detriment. With Venus in Aries, we need to be really honest about our own needs, in all our relationships.

Venus is widely conjunct Neptune, in yet another Learning triangle, with a (90°) square to Vesta in Cancer, which is (150°) quincunx to Pluto in Aquarius, which is (60°) sextile back to Venus. With all our encounters and relationships, we need to check what we truly feel in our innermost heart (Vesta), so that se can respond or act from that place in a loving, compassionate and humanitarian way, for that is where our true inner spiritual power (Pluto) lies.

For all our Relations
